Service set for Benny Parsons

A memorial service for former NASCAR champion and TV commentator Benny Parsons will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Grace Covenant Church in Huntersville. Family, friends and members of the racing community will be received during this service. Following the memorial service, race fans are welcome to present memorials to the church from 4 until 6 p.m. A private funeral service will be held Saturday in Millers Creek, N.C. Parsons, 65, died Tuesday from complications from lung cancer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Connie E.
