Another productive day in Jerez for McLaren

Team McLaren Mercedes completed a productive second day of a three day test at the Circuito de Jerez in southern Spain with drivers Juan Pablo Montoya and Alex Wurz continuing development work on track with two MP4-20's. The extremely hot conditions experienced yesterday were repeated today with track temperature reaching 50 degrees Celsius.

Juan Pablo Montoya's program continued the Michelin tire testing of the prime and option tire for the forthcoming German Grand Prix and the Hungarian race as well as more suspension development work.

Alex Wurz meanwhile continued with his program concentrating on the Michelin tire selection for the German Grand Prix focusing on long runs with the option tire.

Montoya set the fastest lap with a time of 1:16.289 while Wurz was third setting a time of 1m16.908. McLaren Mercedes
