Champ Car to boost HP

10/30/07 Rumor has it that Champ Car will announce an increase in horsepower from their Cosworth engines for the season finale in Mexico City in two weeks. If all goes well look for the added HP to become the standard for 2008. It is assumed the extra HP will be done by increasing the turbo boost pressure to give the cars more HP with normal boost pressure and an extra 100 HP (up from 50) when the push-to-pass button is engaged.
