Kyle Busch puts his Toyota on the pole in Texas

Kyle Busch won his 16th career NASCAR Nationwide Series pole on Thursday evening in qualifying for the O'Reilly 300 at Texas Motor Speedway.
Busch recorded a lap of 188.252 mph in the No. 18 NOS Toyota to take his second pole at TMS, a track he won both Nationwide races at in 2008.
"It's pretty exciting to be on the pole here," Busch said. "Before the winds died down there later in the day we were really struggling. I was, anyway, with the way the wind was blowing us around. I was almost scared to drive the thing. We weren't very fast in the first one, but got going better in the second practice a little bit and made the car a little bit better here and there, and made some adjustments to it that we felt like would really help us for Saturday."
Matt Kenseth qualified second with a lap of 188.055 mph in the CitiFinancial Ford.
Paul Menard was third with a speed of 187.931 mph. He was followed by David Ragan, Jeff Burton, Carl Edwards and Terry Cook, all at 187 mph.
Tony Stewart (186.871), Dale Earnhardt Jr. (185.599) and Joey Logano (185.573) rounded out the top ten.
