Grand-Am finalizes banquet plans

GRAND-AM Road Racing has announced Las Vegas as the site of the 2010 Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 Awards Banquet, the Rolex Champions Banquet Presented By SunTrust.

The banquet will be held Monday, Sept. 13, at the Aria Resort & Casino. The celebration will come two days after the Rolex Series season finale at Miller Motorsports Park near Salt Lake City, Utah. Las Vegas was also the banquet site in 2004 and from 2006-08.

The banquet will honor the top three positions in the Daytona Prototype and GT classes – both driving and team championships – as well as the manufacturer champions for both classes, the Pro-Am winners, MESCO Building For The Future Rookie of the Year and numerous other special awards.

Co-emcees for the event will be SPEED TV analyst Calvin Fish and pit lane reporter Chris Neville.
