Champ Car must stay the course

A reader writes, First time on the site and I found your article, “Champ Car must stay the course", exceptional. It was not only very entertaining, insightful and encouraging to read for a Champ Car fan, but it inspired others who aren’t even fans yet, like my wife and many of her colleagues, to take notice of Champ Car and I think this is its biggest draw.

I agreed with many points made in this article, particularly lauding the efforts of Kevin Kalkhoven, the urgency to address the communication void presently in Champ Car and the need to build the image of a crown race as all the other series have done. I think the method this article used is better, to convey public opinion to Champ Car, the loyal fan base and its partners both current and future, than resorting to slanderous and degrading articles and attacks, of late, written by once highly-regarded scribes. Personally, their recent actions resemble snakes slithering about, in the chaos, biting everyone in their paths as they try to seek refuge on the battlefield as the war wages on and the battles intensify in the War of American Open Wheel.

Your article is an excellent read, these are truly exciting times and I have a renewed confidence for a great season of the Champ Car World Series in 2007. Frank Petti
