PR1 enter 3-car team in Pacific F2000

Fresno-based PR1 Motorsports announced their driver line-up for the Pacific F2000 Series today. PR1 will once again enter into the series running a 3 car team. Their drivers will be Patrick Barrett, Thomas Merrill and Shaun Modisette.

This is the fourth year the team has entered into the Pacific F2000 Series. PR1 Motorsports has captured 2 championships in the Pacific series and another in the Cooper Tires Zetec Championship. PR1 is looking to secure another championship with the incredible list of drivers they have secured.

20 year old Shaun Modisette of Rancho Palos Verdes, California is coming into his 3rd year in the series. Shaun will drive the # 26 Carson Trailer Van Diemen Ford this season. Modisette is looking to build on his past series experience to help the team capture a 4th championship.

2007 marks the second year in the Pacific F2000 Series for driver Patrick Barrett. Barrett 17 of Los Osos, California has two victories in the series. He will run the # 3 Jim Russell Racing School/ Alpinestars Van Diemen for the team.

Thomas Merrill enters the championship as a rookie. The 20 year old from Salinas, California comes off of a championship winning year running the SCCA Formula Continental series. He will contest the #81 Merrill Farms LLC/ Smith & Hook Wineries / Ron Sutton’s Winner’s Circle Van Diemen.

This year PR1 Motorsports will once again compete in The Champ Car Atlantic Series Powered by Mazda. This marks the second full season the team will compete in that series. Drivers Mike Forest and Jonathan Bomarito will again return with the team in that series.
