Marquez out for 3 more races?

The dream of a 9th world title for Marc Marquez, at least for this year, so all but over now. The second operation he underwent for his arm yesterday will certainly have serious repercussions on his championship.

Emilio Perez de Rozas, in El Periodico, rumors that Marquez has decided to take an August holiday to allow the arm to heal properly. Therefore, if true, it means he would return for the Misano races, scheduled for September 13th and 20th.

A month and a half of rehab will allow him to be in full form. In the event this happens, it would mean losing a total of 5 races, with only 9 left ahead. It's true that this will depend a lot on the results of Quartararo, Vinales, and Dovizioso (the three riders currently leading the championship), but a comeback in the standings could be impossible.
