Toyota Atlantic team moving to Champ Car

UPDATE #4 This rumor is now 'fact' as first reported by AutoRacing1.com several days ago. See story on our Home page. 03/15/05 We are hearing that the first of two official announcements about this new team won't be made until this weekend. The official launch in a "major" city is tentatively slated for March 30th. 03/14/05 We hear this team has hired some mechanics and engineers from Formula 1 so they might pull a few surprises later in the year once they get an understanding of the Lola. 03/14/05 AutoRacing1.com sources tell us that this new team will start the season in Long Beach and run the full season. We are embargoed from revealing any further details until the announcement later this week. 03/13/05 Sources tell us that a new Champ Car team will be announced possibly as early as this coming week. The team will be an existing Toyota Atlantic team that is making the step up to Champ Car. While our source was not specific, it could be the Eric Jensen team. Jensen already said he would run a partial schedule starting in Toronto months ago.
