In a Grand Prix, an F1 driver can change gears up to 4000 times, hence the need for the best lubrication to ensure the gearbox stays in pristine condition.

Formula One cars use highly automated semi-automatic sequential gearboxes with paddle-shifters on the steering wheel. Regulations state that 8 forward gears and 1 reverse gear must be used, with rear-wheel-drive on all cars.
