F1: 305K fans expected for Austrian GP

Max Verstappen’s Dutch fans are set to descend on the Red Bull Ring in their thousands this weekend.

There’s a sell-out crowd for the event, with 95,000 attending on Friday and 105,000 on both Saturday and Sunday. A 3-day ticket averages over $500, so ticket revenue for the race is around $50 million, plus suites, hospitality and advertisers. Hence, the race organizers (Red Bull) look set to take in between $60 and $70 million in revenue.

Expect a sea of orange in the grandstands.
