MotoGP News: Martin win Qatar Sprint Race

Ducati rider Jorge Martin opened his account for the 2024 MotoGP season with an easy victory in the Qatar Grand Prix sprint from pole.

Starting from pole, Martin led all 11 laps of the half-distance race to win from KTM’s Brad Binder.

Aleix Espargaro rallied past reigning world champion Francesco Bagnaia in the closing stages to score Aprilia’s first Qatar podium in third.

Eight-time MotoGP champion Marc Marquez finished fifth on his year-old Ducati after a late mistake dropped him out of the podium battle.
