IndyCar News: 2026 NTT IndyCar Series Teams and Drivers (as of November 17, 2025)
The 2026 IndyCar lineup is mostly settled following a busy silly season, with major moves including Will Power leaving Team Penske for Andretti Global and Colton Herta departing IndyCar for a Cadillac F1 test role.

Prema Racing appears unlikely to return due to financial issues after one season. Several seats (particularly second cars at smaller teams) remain unconfirmed or rumored. Full-time entries are expected to hover around 27, with additional Indy 500-only expansions.

Key Notes and Uncertainties
– Confirmed major changes — Power → Andretti, Malukas → Penske, VeeKay → Juncos, Hauger → Dale Coyne.
– Departures — Colton Herta (to Cadillac F1 test/F2), Will Power (from Penske).
– Prema Racing (2025 entrants Callum Ilott & Robert Shwartzman) is not expected back.
– Smaller teams (Foyt, Juncos, RLL third car, Dale Coyne second car) often finalize late, sometimes with pay drivers.
– Indy 500 expansions → Arrow McLaren (4 cars confirmed), Meyer Shank (Helio Castroneves in a sixth car rumored), possible Ed Carpenter Racing, Dreyer & Reinbold and Abel Motorsports one-offs.
This reflects the most up-to-date public announcements and reliable reports as of mid-November 2025. More confirmations (especially second drivers at backmarker teams) are expected over the winter.
