Gordon Kirby’s new book honors Wally Dallenbach Sr.

Normally we don't plug books here, but this time it's long-time motor sports journalist Gordon Kirby writing a book about highly respected CART steward Wally Dallenbach.

Gordon commented to me that this book was fun to write, with lots of respect and praise for Wally's career in motor sports. And let's be brutally honest — not every IndyCar tree (AAA, USAC, CART, IRL, CCWS and IndyCar) steward will have nice things said at their funeral. Wally's tenure with CART featured many safety improvements that were way ahead of their time, and set the standard to this day.
