Formula 1 News: Norris tops Practice 2 for 2025 Dutch GP
Lando Norris (pictured) turned a lap of 1m09.890s to top Practice 2 for the 2025 Dutch GP Formula 1 race at Zandvoort.

Norris was just 0.087s faster than the surging Aston Martin of Fernando Alonso. His teammate Lance Stroll completed just 7 laps before wadding up his #18 Aston Martin in the Turn 3 outside wall.
Oscar Piastri was third in the #81 McLaren, 0.089s behind Norris.
George Russell was 4th for Mercedes, 0.384s behind Norris.
Max Verstappen rounded out the top-5 in his #1 Red Bull, 0.588s behind Norris.
Lewis Hamilton was the faster of the two Ferraris in 6th, 0.848s behind Norris after a 360-degree spin early.
P1 in FP1, P1 in FP2. It has been a good opening day for Norris, who can certainly head off for his shower knowing his weekend is off to a great start. He has handled the conditions well, the wind not bothering him as much as others.
His teammate was third, less than a tenth back, with Alonso the filling in that sandwich after a mega lap.
So, Norris is the man to beat this weekend in the dry. But will the rain hold off tomorrow?
That is not the only story today though. Quite a few drivers are short of running – namely Stroll, Albon and Hadjar – while Aston Martin, Williams and Racing Bulls all have work to do tonight to fix either mechanical issues or damage.
And a few others are struggling to keep their cars pointed in a straight line.
