Logano could run some Busch Races in ’08

17 year old Joe Gibbs development driver Joey Logano has wheeled every kind of racing vehicle imaginable in the last few years, including a short stint in a Mark Martin Racing Pro Series Truck. After spending time with Logano, Martin said the youngster was fully capable of racing a Nextel Cup car. Martin made that statement almost two years ago. A driver must be 18 to race in a NASCAR national series (Nextel, Busch, truck), so Logano is getting as much big-track experience as possible before he becomes of age. When this kid gets a big-league NASCAR license, he's expected to quickly blossom into a big-time racing driver. "I know they've been talking about a Busch car next year sometime," Logano said. "Not real sure when or what car I'm going to drive yet. I know I have a long-term relationship with Gibbs. We'll see how it goes." Daytona Beach News-Journal
