Traction control to return?

Max Mosley has said that traction control could make a comeback in 2011 due to the proposed regulation changes for that year. The driver aid has been banned for 2008 and 2009 yet Mosley believes that traction control could play a fundamental part in the energy recovery technology expected for 2011. It's going to be difficult to have those very sophisticated electronics that go with an energy recovery system without traction control," Mosley told reporters in Monaco.

"It's a very interesting discussion, whether and how much it matters. The classic position always is that traction control is bad. But the drivers like the traction control in all sorts of ways, contrary to what you might think. They love driving without it, but they say Formula One is actually better because of it."
