Night race would force Melbourne to bleed more red ink

Shifting the Melbourne F1 race to night would do nothing to improve the bottom line of the race for Victorian taxpayers – an estimated $10 million in lights would add to the cost of an event that is this year expected to lose $35 million. The poor taxpayers of Melbourne are thanking Bernie Ecclestone for this brilliant idea.
