A sign Philippe to be back in Champ Cars

2006 Lexmark Indy 300 winner Nelson Philippe will return to the place which has provided his most memorable racing moment, when he makes a fly-by visit to the Gold Coast next Monday morning. The occasion will mark the first time the Frenchman has revisited Queensland since his historic win during last year’s event.

And there’s little doubt this won’t be his last impromptu visit to the Gold Coast in 2007, as it appears love has blossomed between himself and reigning Bartercard Miss Indy Sarah Buller since last year’s event. The pair will rendezvous at the Surfers Paradise arch opposite Cavill Mall.

Philippe is still rumored to be close to signing a deal to return to Champ Car with the Minardi team.
