Bernie – Schu could race for Renault in ’07

(GMM) Bernie Ecclestone thinks Michael Schumacher might one day return to formula one.

The F1 supremo is quoted by 'Sport Bild' in Germany as encouraging the Ferrari driver to race again beyond the end of the 2006 season — for current title rival Renault.

''With his ability and his fitness (Schumacher) has at least two more years in him,'' Ecclestone, 75, said.

Bernie even said 37-year-old Schumacher could race in 2007 if he wanted.

The diminutive Briton, a close ally of Renault team principal Flavio Briatore, insisted: ''I know that (Renault) would take him right away.

''So I prefer not to say goodbye.''
