Schumacher and Massa to stay at Ferrari

Rumors in the paddock at Hockenheim suggest that both Michael Schumacher and Brazilian Felipe Massa will stay on at Ferrari in 2007. The fact that Jean Todt renewed is no coincidence and rumors suggest both drivers will be announced during the Monza race weekend in early September.

"I am expecting to have a great future in Formula 1," the Brazilian told reporters at the German GP. "But it is too early to talk about that future, so you will have to wait a month or so!"

As regards the coming weekend, Massa has only one goal, to do his best for the Scuderia: "We have to always work as a team," he continued, "because we are in a situation where we are fighting with the same team race after race. So, in order to pick up as many points as possible we have to work together. Michael is totally committed to trying to win the championship and I am a hundred percent motivated to try and win the constructors' championship for the team and get ahead of Renault. We are always trying to work together."

"There is a very big points' difference [between me and the top two – Fernando Alonso and Michael] and so I cannot realistically win the drivers' title, but if we can win as a team and if I can come third among the drivers, then I really want to try and achieve those targets," he added.

"My goal this weekend however is as always the same – to win. And if I could take my first win here at Hockenheim it would be fantastic. But at the least, I will be aiming to be on the podium and take as many points as possible away from Renault."
