V8 F1 cars faster than old V10s

So much for the FIA's move to a smaller V8 to reduce F1 speeds – the V8s appear to already be faster. According to Autosport, Honda Racing test driver Anthony Davidson broke the unofficial lap record at Valencia in Spain on Thursday. The Briton, who will be conducting Friday testing duties for Honda at race weekends again this year, set a best lap of 1:08.53 seconds early in the afternoon.
