Da Matta has $2 million offer from IRL

For sure the IRL is a mainly oval series and I mainly like road and street circuits in the Champ Car series, but the opportunity to go to the best team in the IRL is interesting. SPEEDTV.com 11/06/05 Word from the Champ Car paddock is that there is absolutely no way that Cristiano would ever consider driving in the IRL. In the first place his parents are adamantly opposed to it as is Cristiano himself from both a personal and career point of view. He would drive Brazilian stock cars first. Steve Levinson 11/06/05 AutoRacing1.com heard this morning at the Four Season Hotel in Mexico City that Cristiano da Matta may have a $2 million offer to race in the IRL in 2006.
