Valiante to team with Finlay in Mexico City

UPDATE This rumor is upgraded to 'fact' today based on announcement. See Hot News page. It's also confirmed that the team will switch to a Crawford chassis in 2006. We hear Finlay could field a 2-car Champ Car team in 2007 (when new ChampCar debuts) with McDowell and Valiante as drivers. 10/20/05 Rumor has it that Michael Valiante will team with team owner Rob Finlay in the Mexico City Grand-Am race while Michael McDowell pulls double duty driving a Daytona Prototype and also a Champ Car. McDowell will be co-driving with Memo Gidley in the team's #19 Air Force Reserve / Make-A-Wish Foundation / Commercial Defeasance Dinan-powered Riley Daytona Prototype. Valiante will co-drive with Finlay in a Ford-powered Crawford. Why a Crawford? Because the team feels Riley is not giving them all their best development pieces.
