Tracy says no, Ranger yes?

Champ Car rookie of the year contender Andrew Ranger is likely to play a part in Canada's A1 Grand Prix team this season, Autosport-Atlas reports. Ranger, who has still to turn 19, has impressed team chiefs with his Champ Car campaign this season, where he came close to winning his second race at Monterrey, Mexico. Team Canada officials have spoken with Ranger's representatives, who is understood to be positive about the idea.

The Canadian team had contacted 2003 Champ Car title winner Paul Tracy, however are now unlikely to reach a deal with the 36 year-old.
