Dixon to again look at F1

Scott Dixon has vowed to keep a keen eye on F1 opportunities for 2007. The New Zealander, who won the 2003 Indy Racing League (IRL) title and still races in the American series, reckons he will assess whether switching to F1 is a realistic option 'late next year'.

''I will be looking … to try something different,'' he told the NZ press, ''but if it's still good in the IRL I'll stay.

''I've been talking to a couple (of formula one teams) recently to see what the goals are. It will be a spur of the moment thing if we do it,'' Scott said, ''but we're still in contact with a lot of people there.''

Meanwhile, 25-year-old Dixon – who tested a Williams last year – may drive New Zealand's 'A1' car in the US and Mexico races early next year. But he will race full time for Chip Ganassi (IRL) in 2006.
