Quebec miffed with the IRL

According to sources, the IRL backed out of the Quebec City deal as late as last Friday thinking they could swoop into Montreal and make Champ Car look like chumps. We hear the promoter in Quebec City was fit to be tied when they learned the IRL dumped them in the 11th hour, without warning. Then to make matters worse, Kevin Kalkhoven and company cut their legs out from under them in Montreal so not only did the IRL not get a race in Montreal, they lost their chance for a race at a pretty decent venue in Quebec City. Sometimes you're the windshield, and sometimes you're the bug.
