Villeneuve eyes USA return

The May issue of F1 Racing magazine has a small sidebar story entitled "JV readies U.S. escape plan". It stated, "Despite the refusal of Jacques Villeneuve's manager, Craig Pollock, to acknowledge that the Sauber driver's seat is under threat, the latest pit-lane rumor is that Pollock has asked several USA teams about the possibility of JV racing in the U.S…" He has been rumored to possibly want to try NASCAR but our bet is Champ Car. Now that Champ Car is adding more big overseas events such as Beijing, and becoming a mini-F1 series without all the politics and techno gizmos, perhaps JV will no longer think it's below him.
