Higdon leaving as NASCAR VP

NASCAR VP/Integrated Marketing Communications David Higdon is leaving the sanctioning body after a six-year run.

Higdon, who made the announcement yesterday on social media, will work through June 30.

His move comes amid a reshuffling of NASCAR's integrated marketing communications department earlier this year that saw Eric Nyquist moved into the position of Senior VP/Communications & Technology Development and Higdon moved to a role where he helped align content on NASCAR.com with key objectives.
