Lavin closes on 2nd Forsythe seat

UPDATE #2 With Dominguez now signed at Forsythe, this rumor is close to going to 'false.' We are hearing that Lavin may only have $2 million and could end up with Dale Coyne, or possibly HVM. 03/29/05 Hearing that if Lavin's Corona money comes through he will be in the third car at Forsythe (Tracy-Dominguez- Lavin). If not he's out of a ride. We are downgrading this rumor to 'speculation.' 03/24/05 Sandra Becerril from Reforma is reporting that Rodolfo Lavin is the second Mexican confirmed to run the full season in 2005 Champ Car with Forsythe along Dominguez in HVM – in an article called "Champ Car loses Mexican drivers". HVM was supposed to have test days in Mexico (at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez of Mexico City) because it was of great interest by the HVM owners to run two Mexicans, but that deal didn’t materialize. That plan included a test for Memo Rojas, David Martinez, Antonio Perez and Roberto Gonzalez (he will be testing tomorrow, but does not have a big chance to land a ride). Memo Rojas was waiting for a "YES" from a sponsor to land the second seat in HVM, but apparently it did not materialize. Hector Serrano Gonzalez reporting from Mexico
