What is Champ Car waiting for?

A reader writes, Dear AutoRacing1.com, we all know the problems with landing sponsors, the late TV package and so on. However, Long Beach is just three weeks away and there are only eleven confirmed drivers…..only plenty of rumors and expected, but not done announcements! What are they waiting for? Or are they in serious trouble? Alexander and his friends in Germany Dear Alexander, On the surface it appears Champ Car is reeling. However, we are told by Champ Car that everything is on schedule and we will see a whole host of announcements between now and Long Beach. There is expected to be a number of announcements at the Sebring test next week where a number of media will be gathered. We also expect to hear more about the Atlantic team moving up to Champ Car on Saturday. Mark C.
