Deluge at Barber (Update)

UPDATE The weather has let up a bit. Race control is looking an approaching window, but it's still periodic thunder outside, and we're seeing red pockets (meaning severe weather) in our path. The valleys after turns 1 & 2 and 3 & 4 is pretty wet and flooded, but that part drains quickly…

It's up in the air right now…but they are shooting for a 4:15 PM central time start. Surprising amount of people still hanging in there considering how hard it has rained. Scott Morris reporting

The weather took a big shift from the way they thought it would track on Friday. This may not actually letup till Tuesday. We're checking the rules on cancelled races. It might get cancelled with the weather forecast the next few days.

We just read the IndyCar rule book, and in case of flooding, all team must switch to jet skis, and retain their qualifying positions…..just kidding.
