GUIA, China — Qualifying for the Macau Grand Prix kicked off in tragic fashion Thursday at the Guia street circuit.
Portuguese motorcycle racer Luis Carreira died following a crash on the Fisherman’s Bend portion of the race course.
Carreira, 35, was the only rider involved in the accident.
