Patrick blows engine early in Goodyear tire test

Even a tire test didn’t go well for Danica Patrick in a season that could be best described as a “learning process."

Part of the learning came Monday, when Patrick was among the more than two dozen cars testing tires at Michigan International Speedway.

But her test didn’t last all that long, as she blew an engine and wrecked in a Stewart-Haas Racing car.

Track president Roger Curtis said Patrick’s engine let go, and according to those at the track, Patrick drove the car back to her garage reportedly with damage to the right front.
