Power, Briscoe to drive V8s

Aussie IndyCar drivers Will Power and Ryan Briscoe have all but confirmed they will be on track at the Armor All Gold Coast 600 in October. The pair said in their interview on SPEED News Australia that while they won’t confirm which car they’ll be in, they will be on a plane almost immediately after the conclusion of the IZOD IndyCar Series.

The final race of the IndyCar championship is in Las Vegas on October 16 while the Gold Coast V8 Supercars event commences on October 21.

With the time differences and amount of time it takes to fly from the US to Australia, the pair will could be on track just hours after arriving in the country.

"It was so much fun last year," Power says of his drive with Ford Performance Racing last year at the Gold Coast 600.

"It’s going to be pretty tight especially if one of us win the championship, that makes it even tighter because you have to do media during that week.

"We will probably be rocking up off the plane and onto the Gold Coast."
