Biffle says extension with Roush Fenway is close

Greg Biffle says he's close to signing an extension with Roush Fenway Racing, and would be surprised if teammate #99-Carl Edwards does not do the same. Biffle has said since the start of the season that he's working on a new deal with team owner Jack Roush. He said Tuesday at an event at Charlotte Motor Speedway's zMAX Dragway that he's not had an overwhelming interest to test the free-agent market. He says a combination of the economy, the current driver lineups and the improvement at Roush Fenway has made him comfortable driving the #16 Ford. Biffle also believes that the organization has shown so much improvement through the first five races of this season, that teammate Edwards would have a hard time finding a job better than the one he has.
