Four drivers penalized after Adria

Four drivers were penalized after the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters race at Adria. Alexandre Prémat was given a reprimand for causing the huge crash which resulted in the Frenchman rolling and completely destroying his Audi A4 after contact with Maro Engel.

Rockenfeller was given a post-race drive through penalty of 30 seconds for causing an avoidable collision with Paul Di Resta on the opening lap. The penalty dropped Rockenfeller from 11th to 16th.

Di Resta in his turn was given a reprimand for his incident with Miguel Molina in the closing stages of the race.

[Editor's Note: The fourth penalty is hilarious … Mechanics were indeed throwing water on Ekström's car, because one of the other driver's had thrown up some mud which got stuck on his front-screen … As DTM race-cars don't carry screen-wiper fluid with them, what else can you do?]

The fourth and final penalty went to Ekström's team, with a fine of 2 000 euro for "team members worked at the pit wall throwing water to one of their cars."
