Another layoff at Indy

Jeff Schroeder, the golf professional at the Speedway's Brickyard Crossing course, was recently released in a surprising cost-cutting move. Schroeder had been associated with the golf course most of his life; his father, Rollie, was the longtime pro at the course. . . . IMS had planned to outsource its food and beverage division along with the golf course, but those plans have been scrapped for now. The food and beverage plan had been in the works for more than a year, an initiative of former track president Joie Chitwood, who left after last year's Brickyard 400. Indy Star
