Monaco: Weekend weather forecast

The weather for this weekend's Monaco Grand Prix will be mostly sunny and hot, with highest temperatures reaching 26°C early in the weekend. Although some cloud will threaten the otherwise constant sunshine, rain is highly unlikely with less than a 10% chance of precipitation over the course of the five-day event.

Although the track action doesn't kick off until tomorrow, teams, drivers and the media has gathered in Monte-Carlo for the usual pre-weekend engagements. Conditions today have been sunny, with some scattered cloud and temperatures reaching 24°C, setting the trend for remaining few days.

Tomorrow sees the traditional Thursday practice sessions kick off the track action, with temperatures expected to hit a weekend-high of 26°C during the afternoon. Once again, some scattered cloud will punctuate the Monaco skyline. Similar conditions are expected on rest-day Friday, with temperatures again set to high 26°C.

Temperatures will drop slightly for qualifying and race days, with highs of 24°C expected. Scattered cloud will continue to occupy the city's skies, but sunshine will prevail throughout.

The action gets underway on Thursday at 10.00 local time (08.00 UTC), followed by the weekend's second practice at 14.00.
