Country Music Star Joins Team 3G

As the IndyCar Series returns to the American Heartland at Kansas Speedway, Team 3G will be featuring the name of Country Music artist Rodney Atkins on their car this weekend. Rodney’s latest Curb Records release is “It’s America", and the single reached #1 on this week’s country music chart.

"Mike Curb and Curb Records has been involved with IndyCar racing for many years" said Greg Beck, Co-owner of Team 3G. "I have worked with his group for a long time, and it is exciting to see Curb Records becoming more involved with Team 3G and the newly combined IndyCar Series."

"Racing is equal parts competition and entertainment" said Steve Sudler, Team 3G Co-owner. “Curb Records is an entertainment company, and we look forward to working with them to integrate their entertainment properties with our racing properties and marketing partners."

“I met Rodney last week in Atlanta when we were both on the same morning show there, he’s a great guy and seems excited about IndyCar" said Team 3G driver Stanton Barrett. “It’s huge that we are able to use IndyCar to promote his CD, the new song is awesome".

Mike Curb has been involved in racing for over 35 years, and has worked with such legendary names as Richard Petty, Dale Earnhardt, Dale Jarrett, and Dan Gurney. In addition to the current #1 Country Music artist Rodney Atkins, Curb Records works with other music stars such as LeAnn Rimes, Tim McGraw, Jo Dee Messina, Clay Walker, and Wynonna Judd. Team 3G and Curb Records are putting the final touches on a number of promotions with Curb artists for some upcoming IndyCar events.
