Wiley X Eyewear announces NHRA sponsorship

Wiley X Eyewear, a leading provider of high-performance protective eyewear for high-speed enthusiasts around the globe as well as the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines, has announced its sponsorship plans for the 2009 NHRA season.

Wiley X is continuing its ongoing partnership with successful and popular Pro Stock driver Jim Yates. Wiley X will be a primary sponsor of Yates’ Pontiac GXP Pro Stock car for the first four NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing events of 2009. The season kicked off with the Kragen O’Reilly NHRA Winternationals in Pomona, followed by the Lucas Oil Slick Mist NHRA Nationals in Phoenix. Two events in March will round out 2009’s opening quartet of championship races: the ACDelco NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville and the O’Reilly NHRA Spring Nationals presented by Pennzoil in Houston. Wiley X will continue to support Yates with an associate-level sponsorship for the remaining 20 events in 2009.

Wiley X also announced its continuing associate-level sponsorship of Jim Dunn Racing’s Canidae All Natural Pet Foods Funny Car for the 2009 campaign.

“We’re very proud to be associated with NHRA Championship Racing and to be supporting these top drivers," said Wiley X Inc. President of Sales Myles Freeman Jr. “And, more importantly, we’re ecstatic to play a role in their success."
