Whiting inspects three cars at Barcelona

(GMM) Three 2009 cars were under Charlie Whiting's microscope as the FIA figure made a flying visit to the Barcelona test.

According to the German magazine Auto Motor und Sport, he wanted to closely examine the new Toyota, Williams and BMW-Sauber to ensure the cars are legal ahead of the season opener.

His concern about the impressive Toyota TF109 is its rear diffuser, while in the Williams pits he wanted to discuss the 30cm-high cockpit fairing fins.

Whiting's only interest in the F1.09 BMW was the much smaller fairing fins.
