Toyota to start winter test season in Bahrain

(GMM) Unlike most other formula one teams, Toyota is to kick off its winter test program outside of Europe.

According to the Dutch portal f1today.nl, the Cologne based team does not intend to travel to Barcelona later this month for the first major group test of the post-season period.

Instead, it seems the Japanese team will hold off until mid December, when on the 10th, 11th and 12th of the month it will have exclusive use of the Bahrain International Circuit.

Toyota's Bahrain test, to take place at the scene of the island Kingdom's annual formula one race, will continue for three more days between 15 and 17 December, f1today.nl added.
