Rosberg, Sutil, drop out of McLaren race
In the German press, Adrian Sutil's manager Manfred Zimmermann has once again insisted that the German youngster is firmly contracted to Force India for next year.
To the British newspaper Daily Telegraph, meanwhile, Nico Rosberg fended off renewed speculation that he could be the subject of a $22m transfer deal between his contracted team, Williams, and Woking based McLaren.
"I am staying here, I'm only 22 and am not rushed yet," Rosberg said.
"I can pace my career but I want to start being on the podium next season," he added.
Of the known contenders to become Lewis Hamilton's new teammate, then, only Finnish rookie Kovalainen or McLaren test driver de la Rosa appear contractually able at this time.
Rosberg, meanwhile, urged the British press to "get the right perspective" when gushing over Hamilton, the 2007 title runner-up.
"You can't argue with his performance because he has had the world champion as a teammate and that is all the perspective you need," the German, a former karting adversary of the British rookie, said.
"But no other rookie has ever had the equipment he had," Rosberg added.
