Brawn warns Lewis Hamilton

Grand Prix kingmaker Ross Brawn has warned Lewis Hamilton there will soon be a new Brit to fear… Jenson Button. The technical mastermind, who made Michael Schumacher a seven-times world champion, was unveiled as the new head of Honda yesterday – banking a reputed £6million salary per year. And he immediately insisted it was only a question of time before the Brackley-based operation overhauled mighty McLaren.

"Ultimately we will. I just can't guarantee how long it will take," said Brawn. "It's difficult to give you a timing, but I am convinced we will.

"It may be that we will get lucky and things will turn around very quickly, or it may take a bit longer.

"But the resources here match anything I have been used to in the past."
