No lights for Martinsville

Clay Campbell, president of Martinsville Speedway, questions if adding lights makes business sense, because his track's race dates are typically in early April (it will be late March next year) and mid-October, when conditions can be cool during the day, let alone at night.

"The thing that would push it over the edge for us maybe doing lights would be the other events that we do … like the modified race and the Late Models," Campbell said.

Adding temporary lights presents issues, Campbell said, because they take up so much room. Roanoke.com
