2008 NASCAR truck schedule

NASCAR has released the 2008 Craftsman Truck Series schedule.

There are no significant changes to the schedule with the series visiting the same 22 tracks for 25 races in the same order as in 2007.

As previously announced, the Feb. 23 race at California Speedway will be run on the same day the Nationwide Series (formerly Busch Series) takes to the track. It is the first time that a Nationwide and truck race are scheduled for the same day on the same track for a doubleheader event.

The race at Atlanta is a week earlier to coincide with the changes to the Sprint Cup schedule. Martinsville falls the week after Easter instead of the week before as it did this year. The race at Gateway was moved to the week following the Labor Day holiday instead of Labor Day weekend as it did in 2007.

Fifteen of the races will be conjunction with the Sprint Cup Series weekends.
