Leicht to part ways with Yates after season

Robert Yates Racing released Busch Series driver Stephen Leicht, effective as of the end of the 2007 season, the driver announced on his Web site.

Leicht drove a partial Busch schedule as well as one Nextel Cup race in 2006 before making a run at the championship this season.

"I have had a great run with RYR," Leicht said. "Robert and Doug [Yates] gave me my start in NASCAR and I have learned a lot from them. I wish them nothing but the best in 2008."
