Pacific Coast Motorsports Wraps Final Test

Alex Figge and Mario Dominguez wrapped the final test session of the team’s rookie season yesterday at Sebring International Raceway. It was a very productive test for the California based team, rookie Alex Figge ran in the top-six both days and his new teammate, Mexican Mario Dominguez set the third fastest time of the 13 cars on track. “It was our most productive test of the season and Alex did a fantastic job developing a consistent and quick package for both cars," commented team manager Michael Harvey. “Although Alex ran out of miles yesterday morning, he and his crew worked on packages that should make a difference the rest of the season. Mario and his boys got re-acquainted, and they were able to benefit by the developments of Alex and the #29 crew. This sport is about teamwork and we are focused on moving forward." As a rookie, Alex Figge was allotted 900 test miles this year, he completed his final 245 miles at Sebring this week, while teammate Dominguez completed 266 trouble-free miles.

“We were happy with the progress we made and the stuff we got to try. The race schedules are so hectic we don’t really get the opportunity to risk some of the set-up changes we want to, as there is just not enough track time to sacrifice a possible unproductive change. We ran a full day Monday, then, unfortunately I ran out of miles yesterday morning, I would have like to have run with the boys yesterday as I think the track was quick. But in the end it doesn’t matter as it is a test and we were happy to find the answers we did."

“The test was very good. I am very happy to be back with the team. They received me with open arms and in the end I think the test was very productive. I really have got to give credit to Alex Figge. He was not only fast, but he was developing the car very well. We were struggling a bit yesterday and we decided to bolt Alex’s set-up on my car and we set a very competitive time. So in the end that is proof that team work is very important, Alex and I can drive a similar car, we like a similar car and that is going to make us faster."
