Funeral held for Colin McRae

GLASGOW, Scotland – About 200 mourners gathered Wednesday for the funeral of former world rally champion Colin McRae and his five-year-old son, who both died in a helicopter crash earlier this month.

The two were carried in the same coffin to the private service at a crematorium near Glasgow.

McRae's widow, Alison, and their nine-year-old daughter, Hollie, were joined by former three-time Formula One champion Jackie Stewart, IndyCar champion Dario Franchitti and Scotland soccer captain Barry Ferguson at the service.

"It's a sad loss for Scotland of a real hero and an immensely popular friend," Stewart said.
